Choosing Peace

Updated: Sep 17

Choosing peace is about creating space for joy. It’s an intentional practice of aligning with what feels good and nurturing your well-being. When you choose peace, you invite more happiness into your life.

It’s important to release any energy that no longer serves you so your mind and body can stay light and open. When you let go, you make room for peace, joy, and new blessings to flow in.

Five ways to release stagnant energy in healthy ways:

  1. Movement and exercise

  2. Journaling or creative expression

  3. Breathwork and meditation

  4. Grounding and nature

  5. Connection and talking it out

Choosing not to identify with your emotions is a gift you give yourself. Peace keeps your spirit free. When you rise above your emotions, you step closer to the calm and joy you truly deserve.

So how do we know when to choose peace?

First, remember that not every moment calls for holding back your peace. When it comes to someone close—a family member, a friend, or someone you love—it can be worth leaning into the conversation, knowing it may bring more harmony in the long run.

Sometimes what feels like a negative comment is really just someone’s way of caring, shaped by their own life experiences.

If you see these people often and they hold a special place in your life, that’s a beautiful reason to share your boundaries with love and honesty.

Ask yourself:

What do I need in this moment?

What is the ideal version of myself saying to me right now?

Try to give that to yourself right now.

Once you focus on yourself you can finally show up with authenticity.
